South Korea

Since 1987 LEAF has supported the Lutheran Theological University (LTU) of the Lutheran Church in Korea (LCK). LTU educates new church workers to proclaim Christ in the society of South Korea in the spirit of Martin Luther’s Reformation. Visitor exchanges between LEAF and LCK has helped the connection between these two become stronger. South-Korean congregations are lively. On the weekdays they gather for prayer meetings very early in the mornings. The Sunday service is the main occasion, after which there is a meal and gathering of different small groups. Christians very bravely tell people about their faith and therefore the Gospel of Christ spreds effectively. Prayer and courage are most likely the reason why the church is growing fast.
